Salary: NJC Grade B: £12.85 per hour

Working Pattern: This is a casual position, working hours will be morning and/or afternoon between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm

We are currently recruiting for a casual invigilator for our examinations. You will work with school staff, candidates and other invigilators before, during and after examinations to ensure the smooth running of examinations in accordance with publicised regulations and school policies.

You may be asked to work with candidates as part of a team or as a lone invigilator. Full training will be provided.

Main responsibilities:

  • To assist in the smooth running of examinations
  • To ensure that candidates comply with any awarding body and college regulations at all times
  • To scribe for pupils with special needs if so directed by the Exams Officer
  • To supervise candidates in a professional, quiet and unobtrusive manner and respond to candidates’ queries in accordance with regulations published by the examinations board

Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills; a confident and assertive manner, a flexible approach to working hours and a minimum availability of eight sessions per week during May/June/early July and November. Working hours will be morning and/or afternoon exam sessions between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm.

Please note that this position is neither a permanent or temporary position, and there is no guarantee of the offer of any minimum quantum of work. Assignments may be offered at the sole and absolute discretion of the Trust when available, and there is no obligation on any worker to accept a minimum number of assignments, if offered.
